On 23 May, we co-hosted a twitter chat to celebrate Africa Day with @TUMInitiative and @UN-Habitat and explored the reality of streets in African cities both in the present and in the future, contemplating everything from their potential as public space, the advancements and challenges in relation to transport and the impact on public health. The objective of this chat was to talk about the platform urban streets offer in African cities and what positive impact they can have in issues of mobility, social cohesion and health.
