Five years ago, we were starting to figure out what an Open Streets programme would mean for Cape Town. We are still in that process, but thanks to the support of  the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), through the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) Challenge, we are able to include other street enthusiasts from across the African continent in that journey.

Next week, we will be hosting the first Open Streets Exchange for African cities and we are delighted to share some information about the people who will be joining us.

Please note the programme is not open to the public; but they will all be joining us at Open Streets Woodstock and if you are keen to connect with them, you will have a chance to do so then. Please join us in welcoming them to Cape Town!
