We are running off a cliff with unsustainable economic, social and transport habits. In Green Point the steadily increasing pressures of tourism and eventing regularly stretch available car parking spaces and traffic flows beyond breaking point. It is well past time for residents to abandon multiple-car-per-household addictions. Open Streets is the perfect project for weaning people off the fear of their own feet and for re-introducing them to the society just outside their high walls.
